Test Prep
Free Diagnostic SAT and ACT
Take a free diagnostic SAT or ACT test to see where your strengths and weaknesses lie. From your results, we can prepare a detailed plan to help you achieve the scores you want.
Test Prep Services
ACT
F&B offers tutoring and practice tests for the ACT & SAT. All our tutoring for ACT & SAT prep is one-on-one because we tailor each test prep plan to the student - something that can't be accommplished in a group class!
SAT
After baseline testing for the SAT & ACT, we will advise on the best test for your student, the timeline for testing, and the tutoring plan to best meet your child's goals.
PSAT
For students wanting to preview their PSAT before taking it, we offer both group sessions and one-on-one sessions to prepare for these tests. We also offer practice testing if your student wants to try out the test before they take it!
SSAT & ISEE
F&B offers tutoring and practice tests for the ISEE, SSAT, and Catholic School Entrance Exams; advising on test selection, testing accommodations, financial aid, and school choice; essay revision and editing; interview coaching; and final choice/waitlist consultation.
Accommodations Advising
Because of the collaboration between our Test Prep and Educational Support teams, F&B is uniquely positioned to advise in the standardized testing accommodations process for our students.
Graduate Entrance Exams
F&B offers preparation for GRE, LSAT, GMAT, and MCAT.
AP & IB Exams
For AP exams, F&B offers both one-on-one sessions and group sessions to review. We can also help students prepare for IB exams through one-on-one tutoring.
F&B offers a wide range of Standardized Test Preparation services, ranging from undergraduate admissions exams like the ACT, SAT, and PSAT to graduate entrance exams like the LSAT, GMAT, GRE and more. We also do Independent School entrance exams like the SSAT and IB, as well as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams.
Our philosophy
Freudigman & Billings uses a unique approach to test preparation that focuses on critical thinking, applied reasoning, and problem solving strategies. We help students understand fundamental principles about how the world of information is organized and how they can interact with that information. This process does not involve the rote memorization of vocabulary or inundation of practice questions that many associate with standardized test preparation.
Instead, we focus on teaching students effective strategies for gathering, sequencing, categorizing, and classifying information from text and visual sources. These processes contribute to a student’s ability to reason, solve problems, make inferences, and draw conclusions.
What sets us apart
Our system combines our expertise about these cognitive skills with our knowledge of the construction of each test to develop strategies that will best serve a wide range of students.
We offer preparation for elementary and middle school students taking the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT, high schoolers tackling the ACT, AP, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests, and college students studying for the GRE, LSAT, GMAT, and MCAT.
We tailor each student’s plan to their individual goals and abilities, from high achievers striving to unlock the top level of problem solving to those struggling with visual or language processing, focus and attention, or test anxiety.
A holistic approach
We do not teach to the test – we teach through the test to help students develop an awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses and build skills that will serve them not just for the standardized tests, but throughout their academic careers and beyond.
